It seemed recent surfaced risque images didn’t haunt Vanessa Hudgens too much. She came out to host a party to celebrate the release of her new action film Sucker Punch at Pure Nighclub at Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on March 26, 2011
The 22-year-old actress dressed in a black white and brown snakeskin jacket when arriving on the red carpet. She was accessorized with an Indian-inspired jewelled Haute Betts headpiece, numerous rings and necklaces, and a Chanel tan purse.
It was reported Vanessa Hudgens wanted her new movie to be able to transform her image of a dancing and singing girl after starring in the High School Musical franchises.
“I auditioned for the role several times. It was a bit of a challenge for a second because people could only see me as the girl that randomly broke into song and dance,” she recently told FemaleFirst.
“But I heard about this movie and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I think as long as I put the work in, people will give me the chance.”
Sucker Punch is directed by Zack Snyder, and also stars Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jamie Chung among others. It raked in 20 million in US dollars at the weekend Box Office, ranking only after Diary Of A Wimpy Kid 2, which grabbed nearly $24 million.
